First half of SR 1390, as Bilbo and Frodo investigate strange happenings in the Shire, engage in politics with kin and others, and confront the damage done in Buckland. We get to visit the Free Fair, held over Lithe in Michel Delving, and see everything come to a head.
Lithe is an attempt to place the Shire more clearly within the context of Sauron's return and his growing influence on Middle-earth, as well as continue looking at the the socio-economic shifts affecting hobbit society as they cease being so isolated from the wider world.
A huge panoply of kin and characters tromp through the tale. Rated mature for subject matter and scenes. If you like light-hearted hobbit stories, this will not be your cup of tea.
